LONG THIỀN (Properous Meditation) Pagoda
Long Thiền Pagoda is situated in Bửu Hòa ward, Biên Hòa province, beside the border of Đồng Nai River. Phone number: 0613 859135, 0613.850159.
It was built in 1664 by Patriarch Thành Nhạc and has been restored many times. The present architectural design remains from the restoration of the Most Venerable Thích Huệ Thành in 1956, the President of the Vietnam Traditional Buddhism, and Vice Dharma Leader of Recognition Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. He passed away in 2001
The Buddha shrine is solemnly arranged. This Buddhist Temple has many terra-cotta and bronze statues. The garden yard in front of this Buddist Temple has many outdoor statues of Buddha and Bodhisattva such as Buddha Sakyamuni, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, Bodhiattva Maitreya, Lumbini Park, statue of the Buddha setting the Wheel of the Law (Dharmachakra).
