Vietnam Famous Ancient Pagodas

vietnam quoc tuViet Nam Quoc Tu (National Vietnam) pagoda is at 16B 3 thang 2 street, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

It was built in 1963 by the Vietnam United Buddhist Sangha. The predecessor Abbot was the Most Venerable Thich Thien Hoa. The Most Venerable Thich Tu Nhon has been the Abbot of this pagoda since 1965. The pagoda and its stupa restored on a large scale from 1993 to 1997 in an area of 3,712 square meters. The Stupa is about 30m high and has 8 stories. The ground floor is the main hall in which the Buddha shrine is solemnly arranded: in the middle is enshrined the Buddha Sakyamuni statue.
